• Are the ingredients in Halo Holistic human grade?

  Several of the ingredients in Halo Holistic are considered human grade, but not all. To be able to claim that a product is human grade, every ingredient has to meet that standard.

• Are there any antibiotics in the meat in Halo Holistic?

  No. The meat and poultry in Halo Holistic is certified by the Global Animal Partnership. To meet that organization’s standards, all animals must be raised without the use of growth hormones or antibiotics.

• Can adult dogs get all the nutrients they need from a meat-free or vegan diet?

  Yes. However, our current vegan recipes are made for adult dogs and shouldn’t be fed to puppies. Because they’re growing and changing, puppies need higher amounts of certain nutrients than adult dogs. This also applies to pregnant dogs and nursing dogs.

  On average, each cup should weigh 0.3 pounds. Therefore, a 3.5 lb bag should have approximately 13.33 cups of dry dog food.  A 10 lb bag would have 33.33 cups and a 20 lb bag would have 66.66 cups.

• How many grams in a cup of dry dog food?

  This figure may vary as kibble sizes/weights vary by recipe. On average there are about 200g per dry cup.
